BAC clone RP11-499F19 has been found to be immunoreactive with plasma from patients with advanced-stage lung cancers. It has no other known associated protein function. (Zhong et. al. Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 2005 Nov 15;172(10):1308-14. Epub 2005 Aug 18.)

Performance Comment

Measurements of the five most predictive antibody markers in 46 cases and controls were combined in a logistic regression model that yielded area under the receiver operating characteristics curve of 0.99; leave-one-out validation achieved 91.3% sensitivity and 91.3% specificity. (Zhong et al., J Thorac Oncol. 2006 Jul;1(6):513-9) The five antibody markers are PXN, EXOC6B (known as SEC15L2 in the publication), BAC clone RP11-499F19, XRCC5, and MALAT1.
